Ashley Neyra is an award-winning multimedia journalist and photographer pursuing a degree in journalism at the University of Maryland’s Philip Merrill College of Journalism. She is passionate about visual storytelling and reporting on underrepresented communities. Ashley serves as president of the university’s National Association of Hispanic Journalists chapter and has gained reporting and photography experience with outlets including the Tampa Bay Times, NBC4 Washington, and Telemundo 44.

After applying the poultice to the forelegs of the horse. Cruz wraps it with a piece of heavy-duty paper, layering it a white towel and then a purple wrap on top. He then prepares an ice bath and pours water over the higher parts of the horse's leg. To help with the inflammation the horse had on its forelegs on April 27, 2026.
