Steve "Gonzo" Gonzales Photo Contest - Third Place Winner

Eduardo and his friend sell raspadilla and ice cream in front of the Clarence F. Buckingham Memorial Fountain in Chicago on July 9, 2025. After immigrating from Mexico 4 years ago, he has been selling raspadillas after being hired by his boss, who has a permit at the park. With the road closures due to NASCAR events, his business is affected by fewer customers buying from him.

The Beauty of Hispanic Diversity - Personal Project
For my final photography project at Montgomery College, I decided to focus on the beauty of the diversity within the Hispanic community. From the shape of our eyes to the moles on our skin, to the curls on our hair, I aim to tell the stories of the generations before us and the beauty that has given us the features we have today.
I encourage you to take a closer look at the images, as I focus on skin textures and play with lighting to enhance those details. Those features some might call “imperfections” are the things I love most about people. They are what make us humans.
